I can't join IRC, whenever I try, this error shows up:

Unable to connect: jave.net.UnknownHostException : irc.gtanet.com

When I play a game, IRC crashes. Not always, it's like the one time it doesn't crash and another time it does. This is kinda annoying. Anyone knows a solution?

mIRC is free to use. You just get an annoying window. That's all.

Anyways, Java client isn't meant for long-time usage.

Yeh mIRC is by far the best client as long as you don't mind waiting 20 seconds to connect once the trial period is up.

I use chatzilla appon to firefox. Never a problem.

I also used mIRC for a period, i think chatzilla is better. Its more clearly
